About Leicester Sangha

“Life is available only in the present moment.” Thich Nhat Hanh.

We are a part of the Community of Interbeing, a growing network of people in the UK who practice mindfulness and aspire to develop peace and happiness in ourselves and in the world by living according to the teachings on global ethics of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. His teachings, which can be followed by people of all ages and any religion or none, are notable for their emphasis on joy, engagement in the world, and integrating the practice of mindfulness into daily life.

On the second Saturday of each month we meet in person from 10:00am – 1:00pm, at the Quaker Meeting House, Queen’s Road, Leicester, .
These practice mornings include sitting and walking meditation. Please bring a packed lunch and a small contribution towards cost of room hire. (Usually about £5.)
On the fourth Saturday of each month we meet on Zoom from 10:00 – 11:30am.
Please use the contact form below if you would like more information or wish to join us in person or on Zoom.

All are welcome, no matter your level of experience. We are a friendly group, enjoying our practice together.

“When we are mindful, deeply in touch with the present moment, our understanding of what is going on deepens, and we begin to be filled with acceptance, joy, peace and love.”
Thich Nhat Hanh.
